Join InDebted's M&A Team as a Senior Data Analyst and contribute to our organization's growth through data-driven decision-making. You will provide technical expertise, conduct sophisticated market and technical analyses, and deliver actionable insights throughout the M&A lifecycle. Support the due diligence process by analyzing financial and operational data, creating automated reports, and building dashboards. Ensure data visibility and informed decision-making from prospect profiling to post-acquisition performance tracking. The ideal candidate is an experienced senior data analyst who enjoys automation, providing creative solutions, and mentoring others. You will report to the VP of Strategy & Operations and work closely with the M&A team. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics/ Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science
- 7+ years of experience working in the analytics discipline, demonstrating strong understanding of data analysis techniques and methodologies
- Experience training and developing data analysts
- Proven experience in providing technical training and development to other analysts
- Experience working in the analytics discipline
- Experience performing deep investigations into the data
- Strong internal and external stakeholder management skills
- Experience developing written material ready for use in client meetings and external presentations
- Understanding of the ability to manage inbound requests (ticket system)
- Strong knowledge of and experience with relational databases using SQL
- Experience in data visualisation tools, preferably Tableau
- Proficient writing code in Python
- Preparing and integrating financial and operational data from multiple sources
- Strong project management skills and high attention to detail
Responsibilities
- Conduct technical analyses for prospect profiling and support market research efforts
- Analyze financial and operational data to support M&A due diligence and inform decision-making
- Design and deliver automated reporting systems, dashboards, and tracking tools for integration monitoring and performance analysis
- Leverage forecasting and predictive modelling to identify trends and inform business strategies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including M&A stakeholders, to translate business needs into actionable data solutions
- Provide technical expertise in data extraction, transformation, and visualisation such as Tableau, ensuring data visibility, integrity and accuracy
- Document results and produce client-ready and compelling presentation material ready for use by internal stakeholders
- Work closely with leaders of other internal departments within the organisation to develop work-plans and execute to agreed timelines
- Mentor junior team members in their work
Preferred Qualifications
- Graduate degree in Data Science or other equivalent fields
- Exposure to Amazon Web Services (or similar cloud service)
- Exposure to data models, database design development, data mining
- Exposure to managing, mentoring and training team members
- Exposure to or experience working in a multinational company or consulting firm
