Summary
Join ThirdChannel as a Senior Data Analyst and leverage your passion for exploring complex retail data to influence strategic decisions for our brand partners. You will collaborate with clients and internal teams, defining goals, conducting analysis, and communicating impactful insights. This role involves working with diverse data sources, synthesizing information, and creating compelling data visualizations. You will contribute to AI-driven feature development, refine product features based on data science insights, and optimize internal analytics workflows. The ideal candidate possesses 4-8 years of experience in analytics, strong proficiency in SQL and BI platforms, and excellent communication skills. This is a remote-first position with optional office space in Boston and New York City.
Requirements
- 4β8 years of experience in analytics, data science, or applied insights roles
- Strong proficiency in SQL, Excel/Sheets, and at least one BI platform (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
- Experience working with unstructured or cross-system datasets
- Skilled in communicating complex data to non-technical audiences
- Strong business acumen and the ability to connect data insights to customer outcomes
- Familiarity with Python or R, especially for statistical modeling or data experimentation
- Understanding of machine learning or predictive modeling techniques
- Experience evaluating and recommending analytics tools and platforms
- Ability to work independently in a remote, agile environment
Responsibilities
- Lead Analytical Projects
- Own high-visibility analytics initiatives from scoping through delivery. Work with both clients and internal teams to define goals, conduct analysis, and communicate insights
- Requirement Discovery & Business Alignment
- Collaborate with brand stakeholders to identify key business challenges and translate them into structured analytics requirements and outcomes
- Data Synthesis & Insight Generation
- Work across unstructured and cross-system datasets to surface trends, opportunities, and potential areas for optimization. Tell compelling stories with data using both statistical and business lenses
- Visualization & Reporting
- Create clean, digestible dashboards and visuals that communicate complex findings to non-technical business users and executives
- AI Enablement & Automation
- Contribute to AI-driven feature development, including tools for automated insight extraction. Experiment with predictive modeling techniques and evaluate emerging AI platforms
- Product Support & Feedback Loop
- Assist product teams in refining features that rely on data science or behavioral insights. Participate in post-implementation reviews to gather feedback and drive continuous improvement
- Operational Excellence
- Help optimize internal analytics workflows and recommend improvements to data infrastructure and reporting cadence across customer accounts
Preferred Qualifications
- Background in SaaS, retail tech, or enterprise software is preferred
- Bonus: experience designing and executing A/B tests or data experiments
