Senior Data Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior Data Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into scalable applications. Lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and improve software development practices. This remote position is available in Peru, Colombia, Costa Rica, and Bolivia. The role requires extensive software development experience and expertise with DB2 on IBM iSeries (AS/400). Strong SQL and RPG programming skills are essential.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field
• Extensive experience in software development with a focus on designing and building scalable applications
• Professional/Advanced English skills
• +5 years of experience
• Strong hands-on experience with DB2 on IBM iSeries (AS/400)
• Solid knowledge of SQL coding and database operations within the DB2 environment
• Familiarity with RPG programming (ILE RPG / RPGLE)
• Experience working with IBM systems and tools in production-level environments
