Senior Data Engineer

Summary

You will work closely with business stakeholders to understand their goals and identify data-driven strategies to achieve them. Your responsibilities will include designing data modeling processes, creating algorithms and predictive models, and analyzing data to increase business productivity and efficiency. You will also communicate complex concepts and data pipelines to non-technical audiences through data visualizations. This role requires a strong understanding of data lake, data warehousing, and analytics, as well as experience in building enterprise-grade big data products and applications. Requirements

• BS or equivalent plus 8 years experience
• MS or equivalent plus 3 years experience
• Ph.D. or equivalent plus 2 years experience
• 5+ years of Data Engineering experience in building enterprise-grade big data products and applications
• Experience in lakehouse technologies like delta or iceberg
• Strong grasp of writing production quality code in Python with good understanding of object oriented programming
• Strong experience building scalable data pipelines using Apache Spark
• Experience in SQL

Responsibilities

• Expertise working experience with programming  languages like Python, and SQL
• Solid understanding of data lake, data warehousing and analytics
• Research, design, and implement data modeling designs to solve complex problems
• Communicate complex concepts and data pipelines to non-technical audiences through data visualizations
• Identify opportunities and formulate data orchestration and data modeling projects to optimize business impact
• Serve as a subject matter expert in data warehouse and analytics research, and adopt the new tooling and methodologies in KnowBe4

Preferred Qualifications

AWS experience preferred rather than other cloud providers - AWS tech: s3 tables, EMR, Glue, Athena, Glue data catalog
