Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in statistics and data science, with at least 2 years in a product-focused environment
• High level of proficiency in statistical modeling and machine learning techniques, including feature engineering, regression, classification, and NLP
• Ability to dive deep into messy, unstructured, or complex datasets and extract valuable insights
• Highly skilled in Python and its data science/machine learning packages (e.g., scikit-learn, pandas, xgboost, numpy, scipy, PyTorch, TensorFlow)
• Familiarity with relational databases like MySQL and Postgres
• Experience with Agile development practices, version control, and code review processes
• Able to explain complex ML systems to developers, product managers, and UX designers

Responsibilities

• Lead the validation and analysis of large, complex datasets to uncover deep insights
• Drive the identification of patterns, trends, and correlations that directly inform and enhance our product offerings, guiding strategic decision-making
• Excel at grappling with vast and varied datasets, extracting maximum value even from messy or unstructured data
• Design, develop, and implement advanced statistical models and cutting-edge algorithms to solve high-impact business problems
• Apply state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to empower our customers to achieve high performance and ROI
• Take a leadership role within a diverse, cross-functional team of Data Scientists, Machine Learning Engineers, Data Engineers, Analytics Engineers, and Data Analysts
• Act as a key partner to product management, translating complex data insights into actionable recommendations
