Senior Designer

Summary

Join Clair as a Senior Designer and play a pivotal role in shaping the user experience and visual identity of our financial products. You will lead design initiatives, mentor junior designers, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. This hybrid position, based in New York City, requires 7+ years of experience in product design and mastery of design tools like Figma. Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in product design, UX/UI design, or a related field, with a strong portfolio showcasing your expertise, preferably in the fintech or financial services industry
• Mastery of design tools such as Figma
• Experience in conducting and applying user research to inform design decisions
• Exceptional ability to tackle complex design challenges with creativity and sound judgment
• Strong interpersonal skills and experience working in cross-functional teams
• Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal oversight, managing multiple high-impact projects effectively
• Familiarity with accessibility standards and inclusive design principles

Responsibilities

• Conduct and synthesize user research to deeply understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points. Translate insights into actionable design strategies
• Create detailed wireframes, prototypes, and workflows to test and iterate on design concepts, ensuring usability and alignment with user goals
• Develop high-quality visuals and interfaces that enhance the look, feel, and usability of our products, aligning with Clair’s branding and design guidelines
• Provide mentorship to junior designers, fostering growth and skill development within the team
• Partner closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to ensure designs are feasible, technically sound, and aligned with business objectives
• Lead initiatives to enhance Clair’s branding materials and overall visual identity
• Maintain and evolve Clair’s design systems to ensure consistency, scalability, and innovation across products
