Senior Developer

Summary

Join our team as a Senior Developer and contribute to the design, development, and integration of timetabling and billing solutions within a dynamic Agile Release Train (ART) environment. This role involves working with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, and TIBCO, developing and maintaining web user interfaces, and collaborating with a team of designers and developers. The position is primarily remote, with occasional on-site activities in Frankfurt am Main. You will be responsible for adhering to quality standards, documenting your work, and participating in code reviews. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in software development using Java and related frameworks, experience in scaled agile projects, and proficiency in modern cloud-native architecture.

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of experience in Software design, conception, and development using Java and related frameworks
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Developing complex software solutions in scaled agile projects with multiple teams
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Working in an agile environment (SCRUM, SAFe)
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Project and process tracking using tools like Jira and Confluence
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Transport and logistics, focusing on applications for timetabling and railway information systems
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Developing web-based user interfaces
• Experience using JBoss for at least 5 years
• Proficiency in modern cloud-native architecture based on Kubernetes
• Advanced knowledge of web development technologies, including JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, and HTML5
• Strong debugging and testing skills
• Proficiency in using development tools such as GitLab and Confluence
• German (minimum B2 level proficiency)
• English (written and spoken)
• Collaborative and problem-solving skills for working in agile, multi-team environments

Responsibilities

• Design, conception, and development of software solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React, and TIBCO
• Development and maintenance of web user interfaces with technologies like JavaScript, Ajax, CSS, and HTML5
• Participation in software planning, design, implementation, debugging, and testing
• Collaboration with project managers, designers, and other developers to meet project goals
• Adherence to quality standards and industry best practices
• Documentation of work using tools like Confluence and GitLab
• Regular updates and participation in code reviews to ensure alignment with project requirements
