Summary

Join StarTree, a passionate team building tools for real-time analytics, as a Senior Developer Relations Advocate. You will drive developer advocacy, build community engagement, and create technical content showcasing StarTree's capabilities. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, and Go-to-Market teams to empower developers. Responsibilities include developing DevRel strategies, creating technical content (blogs, webinars, etc.), representing StarTree at events, and collaborating with cross-functional teams. You will also lead partnership initiatives and mentor a growing team.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in Developer Relations, Technical Advocacy, or a similar role within a tech-driven environment. Also considering Pre-Sales Engineers (or similar) with strong customer facing skills
  • Understanding of real-time analytics databases and cloud architectures
  • Demonstrated empathy with proven ability to understand developer needs, advocate for them, and build solutions that enhance their experience and success
  • Exceptional communication skills and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging, accessible content
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product adoption and user success

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute DevRel strategies to grow and engage the Apache Pinot community
  • Create and deliver technical content, including blogs, webinars, tutorials, and sample applications
  • Represent StarTree at industry events, conferences, and meetups, serving as a key advocate and thought leader
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to improve developer experience and integrate community feedback into StarTree’s offerings
  • Lead initiatives to build partnerships with other technology providers to produce joint DevRel content
  • Act as the voice of the community, providing feedback to engineering, product management, and the executive team to guide development priorities
  • Mentor a growing team of developer advocates
