Senior DevOps Architect

Requirements

• Proven experience in managing both on-premises and cloud infrastructures, particularly in Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
• Extensive experience with large-scale Infrastructure as Code (IaC) development using Terraform
• Good understanding of VPC networking concepts with practical experience
• Proficient in Linux scripting and system administration
• Demonstrated experience in setting up CI/CD pipelines adhering to best practices for zero downtime deployments and quality gates
• Excellent Linux skills
• Good understanding of virtualization and containerization
• Experience with container orchestration frameworks, particularly Kubernetes (K8s)
• Expertise in performance optimization and containerization of Java and NodeJS applications
• Proven experience in disaster recovery planning and simulation
• Experience with rolling out data storage engines in high-availability mode
• Proficiency in ensuring the reliability and availability of data storage systems
• Proficient in setting up monitoring and alerting systems according to industry best practices
• Experience in performance planning and cost optimization
• Understanding of cloud security threats and risk management
• Familiarity with GDPR, ISAE 3402, ISO 27001, and SOC 2 compliance requirements
• Hands-on experience in fixing OS-level vulnerabilities, Security Command Center, DDoS protection, Web Application Firewall (WAF), Security Information and Event Management (SIEM), and SAST/DAST
• Over 10+ years of professional experience in Cloud operations, SRE or DevOps
• Demonstrated strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Self-motivated, well-organized, and detail oriented
• A strong team player with excellent collaboration skills
• Understanding of Agile methodologies and engineering practices
• Fluent in English with well-developed communication skills
• Willingness to execute occasional activities after business hours in the CET time zone

Responsibilities

• Lead the DevOps Team focused on the operational aspects
• Manage the DevOps Team ensuring day-to-day processes run smoothly
• Collaborate between development and operations teams

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with serverless event-driven architectures and data streaming, including Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Run, Workflows, and Eventarc
• Familiarity with ETL tools and frameworks
• Experience with data warehouse architecture such as big query/big table
• Knowledge of Dutch is a plus
