Senior DevOps Engineer

Summary

Join Encora as a Senior DevOps Engineer and be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, lead technical projects, mentor junior engineers, and continuously improve software development practices. You will automate and manage infrastructure, design and optimize CI/CD pipelines, and implement monitoring solutions. This remote position, located in Latin America, requires a degree in a related field with 5+ years of experience and expertise in AWS, Linux, Elasticsearch, PostgreSQL, and Docker.

Requirements

• Be a Graduate in systems, networks or related fields with +5 years of experience
• Have strong experience with AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, etc.)
• Be proficient in managing and troubleshooting Linux-based systems
• Have experience with deploying, configuring, and optimizing Elasticsearch clusters
• Have solid experience with PostgreSQL databases, including management, optimization, and troubleshooting
• Have expertise in containerization using Docker, including Docker Compose for local development environments

Responsibilities

• Automate and manage infrastructure using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet, ensuring scalable and consistent environments
• Design and optimize CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins or GitLab CI to automate building, testing, and deploying applications
• Implement monitoring solutions (Prometheus, Grafana) and ensure system security, performance, and availability, handling incidents as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Have familiarity with deploying and managing applications in a Kubernetes environment
• Have knowledge of querying and managing data in Google BigQuery
• Have experience with infrastructure as code using Terraform or Terragrunt for cloud provisioning
• Have the ability to write scripts and automation tasks in Python
