Summary

Join OpenSpace as a Sr. DevOps Engineer and contribute to building, automating, and maintaining our multi-region infrastructure. You will be hands-on with Kubernetes, Infrastructure-as-Code, CI/CD, and monitoring, collaborating with other teams to enhance developer velocity and system efficiency. Responsibilities include managing Kubernetes environments, writing infrastructure as code, administering deployment pipelines, handling Jira tickets, and providing documentation. The ideal candidate possesses a BA/BS in Computer Science or a relevant field with 3-5 years of AWS administration experience and expertise in container orchestration and CI/CD pipelines. Requirements

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or relevant field, considerable weight will be given to hands-on experience and prior accomplishments
  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in AWS administration, build, release, DevOps or SRE roles
  • In-depth knowledge of the AWS ecosystem. (EC2, EKS/ECS, RDS, IAM, KMS, SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda, Config, Glue etc.)
  • Production experience with container-orchestration systems and tooling: (EKS, ECS/Fargate, ArgoCD, Helm, Istio, etc.)
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools: (Terraform or Pulumi)
  • Experience with infrastructure monitoring tools: Datadog, Prometheus, etc
  • Linux server administration
  • Expertise with at least one Scripting language (eg: Python, Bash/Shell, etc.)
  • Experience deploying, configuring, managing and automating CI/CD pipelines (TeamCity)
  • Keen eye for process improvement in the realm of DevOps/SRE (deployments, automation, security, developer velocity, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Manage Kubernetes in development and production environments, including tooling such as Helm, ArgoCD, Istio and others
  • Write infrastructure as code using Terraform/Terragrunt
  • Administer and maintain TeamCity and Github Actions deployment pipelines
  • Handle Jira tickets pertaining to projects and tasks
  • Provide procedure documentation such as runbooks, playbooks and diagrams
  • Respond to production outages, triage issues by following standard operating procedures and escalation workflows
  • Participate in an on-call rotation

Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certifications and/or CKA Certified Kubernetes Administrator
