Summary
Join Recruitics as a Senior DevOps Engineer and contribute to scaling and optimizing our cloud-native platforms. You will be responsible for automating, monitoring, and deploying cloud infrastructure in AWS, container orchestration with Kubernetes, and IaC practices to support our cutting-edge ad tech and data platforms. This role involves designing, building, and maintaining secure, scalable infrastructure, managing containerized workloads, collaborating with engineering and data teams, developing CI/CD pipelines, monitoring system performance, and ensuring security best practices. You will also participate in system design and architecture discussions, support on-call rotations, and contribute to long-term infrastructure strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (equivalent experience will also be considered)
- 5+ years of professional experience with DevOps and Platform development
- Strong proficiency in Python for data processing, scripting, and automation tasks
- Experience working with Kafka for building scalable, event-driven systems
- Strong experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS (EC2, RDS, S3, Lambda, Redshift)
- Hands-on experience with Kubernetes (K8s) and Docker for containerization and orchestrating microservices
- Infrastructure as Code (IaC) experience using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
- Familiarity with data warehousing technologies, especially Redshift and Postgres, and experience with ETL pipelines
- A self-starter with a passion for solving complex problems and building scalable systems
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or in a collaborative team environment
- Strong understanding of system design, scalability, and distributed systems
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with remote teams
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain secure, scalable infrastructure in AWS using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform
- Manage containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Docker, with a focus on automating deployment pipelines and maintaining high availability
- Collaborate with engineering and data teams to ensure infrastructure meets development, deployment, and data processing needs
- Develop CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines, GitLab Runners, Argo CD, or similar
- Monitor and improve the performance, reliability, and scalability of systems using observability tools like Prometheus, Loki, Tempo, Grafana, and CloudWatch
- Maintain and optimize Kafka, PostgreSQL, Redshift, and Airflow environments
- Ensure security best practices are followed in AWS environments, including IAM policies, VPC configuration, and secrets management
- Participate in system design and architecture discussions, contributing to long-term infrastructure strategies and roadmaps
- Support on-call rotations and incident response processes to ensure high uptime and rapid recovery
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Argo CD, Flux, or GitOps methodologies
- Familiarity with Airflow, Redshift, and ETL pipeline support
- Exposure to Looker or other BI tools
- Experience supporting high-scale data-intensive systems
- Experience with AI/ML Ops tooling and practices
- Background in compliance or cost optimization in AWS environments

- Base salary range depending on experience and location: $112,000 - $165,000
- Eligible for annual bonus based on performance
