Senior Director of Dod Capture Management

Summary

Join PingWind as their Sr. Director of Capture Management and lead their Department of Defense (DoD) agency pursuits, primarily focusing on the Army. You will improve PingWind’s Capture Excellence through process enhancements, training, strategic planning, and a structured capture approach. This role involves leading the corporate capture process, understanding opportunities, customers, competition, and technical solutions, and coordinating with the team to create winning proposals. You will develop and execute winning strategies for complex federal market opportunities, oversee capture efforts, and grow and lead a team of capture managers. The position requires significant experience in federal government business development and capture, specifically within the DoD.

Requirements

• DoD familiarity to include Air Force, Navy, COCOM
• Growth-minded individual with a minimum of 10 years’ experience with demonstrated success in managing federal government business development and capture teams
• Familiarity with DoD agencies and a proven track record of winning DoD work
• Experience winning large scale programs over $50M in the federal government
• Record of success pursuing multiple award vehicles (GWAC/MAC/BIC) valued greater than $500M
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or a technical degree
• Demonstrated successes reflecting the ability to grow the business
• Familiarity and experience managing the pipeline and utilizing CRM tools such as Salesforce
• Demonstrated ability to work with senior business and government personnel and to provide leadership within the workplace
• Experience with competitive analysis and price to win discussions
• Experience developing account plans and capture plans for new business opportunities
• Proven individual BD and/or Capture experience with demonstrated wins

Responsibilities

• Develop and lead the development and execution of winning strategies for complex and competitive opportunities within the federal market
• Oversee all capture efforts
• Grow and lead a team of capture managers
• Assist PingWind with maturing and defining our gate review processes
• Participate in milestone reviews and provide meaningful suggestions for enhancements of our capture strategies
• Develop thorough capture plans and drive the overall foundation for compelling win strategies, technical, and management approaches
