Summary

Join Wildlight Entertainment, a new, fully-funded entertainment studio creating AAA games, as a Senior Engine Tools Programmer. You will design and build core systems and tools for our content pipelines, collaborating with artists and designers. The role requires improving existing tools and workflows, identifying opportunities for efficiency, and contributing to a collaborative engineering team. We are a remote-first company with offices in Los Angeles and Seattle, employing in the US and Canada. The position offers a competitive salary ($170,000-$220,000 USD) plus an annual bonus and benefits including unlimited PTO, comprehensive healthcare, and paid parental leave.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in game development
  • Excellent C++ programming and debugging skills
  • Strong understanding of modern game content workflows and pipelines
  • Experience working with Unreal Engine

Responsibilities

  • Design, improve, and implement tools used by artists, level designers, and game designers
  • Refine content pipelines to help us ship high-quality content, respecting budget constraints and target platforms
  • Collaborate with other engineers and content teams to iterate on existing and new workflows
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and champion solutions to increase studio content efficiency

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of modern console and PC hardware architectures and performance characteristics
  • Experience developing tools and games in other third-party AAA game engines
  • Experience working on competitive multiplayer games and/or live service games
