Senior Engineer

Summary

Join Nintex as a Senior Engineer and contribute to building a leading process automation platform. This hybrid role, based in Johannesburg, is a 6-month contract. You will lead projects, mentor team members, and design complex, reusable architectures. You will be responsible for making informed technical decisions, translating ideas into executable plans, and proactively addressing technical debt. Requirements

• 5+ years experience in software engineering – primarily full stack
• Strong proficiency in Node.js and React

Responsibilities

• Suggest multiple viable design and architectural approaches for any given problem
• Clearly communicate the risks, advantages, pros, and cons for each approach in design, architectural, and technical matters
• Make good, fact-based and well-informed decisions around technical debt and trade-offs
• Translate rough ideas into clear executable technical plans with discrete tasks
• Find ways to deliver scope faster and facilitate prioritizing the backlog accordingly
• Tackle technical debt proactively
• Be a trusted resource for de-escalation of conflicts and build consensus between team members
• Communicate progress to the team and delivery manager regularly and seek guidance when required
• Regularly contribute new ideas and maintain focus on continual improvement
