Summary

Skimmer is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Engineer with expertise in Power BI, .NET 8, and C# to develop and integrate sophisticated reporting and analytics capabilities into their product. The role involves architecting and building scalable in-application reporting features, developing interactive and user-friendly Power BI reports, providing technical guidance, collaborating with stakeholders, optimizing performance, integrating with various data sources, troubleshooting issues, and creating documentation.

Requirements

5+ years of experience in software engineering with a strong focus on Power BI, .NET, and C#

Responsibilities

• Architect and build scalable in-application reporting features using Power BI, integrating them seamlessly into .NET 8 and C# based applications
• Develop and implement interactive and user-friendly Power BI reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights and support business decision-making
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members on best practices for Power BI integration and reporting development
• Work closely with product managers, data analysts, and other stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into technical specifications and solutions
• Optimize the performance of Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring efficient data retrieval and visualization
• Ensure smooth integration of Power BI with various data sources, including SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and other relevant data systems
• Identify and resolve issues related to reporting and data visualization, including performance bottlenecks and data discrepancies
• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for reporting solutions, including design specifications, user guides, implementation standards, and technical notes
