Summary

Join MoneyLion as a Senior DevOps Engineer and lead the scaling of our platform, ensuring top security and reliability. You will architect and implement our next-generation platform using Kubernetes, collaborate with our global SRE team, and spearhead design reviews. This role requires managing production issues, enforcing security best practices, and improving CI/CD pipelines. You will also mentor engineering teams and foster a culture of innovation. The ideal candidate possesses extensive DevOps experience, expertise in Kubernetes and AWS, and a strong understanding of CI/CD and security standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 5+ years in DevOps, with a proven track record of leading large-scale projects in a cloud environment, particularly AWS
  • Expertise in Kubernetes and its ecosystem, with hands-on experience in architecting, deploying, and managing containerized applications
  • Strong background in infrastructure as code, specifically Terraform, and experience with AWS services related to microservices and containers (ECS, EKS)
  • Comprehensive understanding of CI/CD systems (Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions) and experience in automating build, test, and deployment pipelines
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language (Python or GO preferred), with the ability to write clean, maintainable code
  • Familiarity with compliance and security standards (PCI, SOC2, NIST) and a strategic approach to meeting and exceeding these requirements

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic initiatives to enhance and scale our microservice infrastructure, employing AWS best practices and Terraform for infrastructure as code
  • Architect and implement the next generation of our platform using Kubernetes, incorporating modern tooling and methodologies to drive innovation
  • Work closely with our parent company's SRE team in Kuala Lumpur, ensuring alignment and cohesion across global departments
  • Spearhead the design and review process, providing critical feedback on RFCs and leading by example in our collaborative design process
  • Manage and remediate production infrastructure issues, including participating in on-call rotations, with a focus on minimizing impact and ensuring robustness
  • Promote and enforce best practices for security, leveraging your experience in compliant environments to enhance our overall security posture
  • Lead the improvement of our CI/CD pipelines, optimizing for efficiency, reliability, and scalability
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to engineering teams, fostering a culture of excellence, innovation, and continuous learning
