Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role
• Proven track record of managing and scaling engineering teams
• Strong understanding of software development processes, tools, and technologies
• Experience with cloud platforms, microservices architecture, and DevOps practices
• Excellent leadership, mentorship, and team-building abilities
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make decisions in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement
• Set clear expectations, provide regular feedback, and conduct performance reviews to support team growth and development
• Ensure the teams have the resources, tools, and support needed to deliver on their goals
• Define and drive the technical strategy and architecture, ensuring alignment with business objectives
• Oversee the development and implementation of engineering best practices, coding standards, and processes
• Ensure the quality, scalability, and security of the solutions delivered by the teams
• Work closely with product management and other stakeholders to define project scope, timelines, and deliverables
• Coordinate and prioritize work across teams to meet project deadlines and business goals
• Track progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure successful project delivery
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices (e.g., style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency)
• Collaborate with other departments, such as Product, Design, and Operations, to ensure cohesive and effective product development
• Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs
• Facilitate communication between engineering teams and other stakeholders, ensuring alignment and addressing any concerns
• Drive the recruitment process to attract and retain top engineering talent
• Develop onboarding programs and continuous learning opportunities to ensure team members' professional growth
• Create a diverse and inclusive work environment where all team members feel valued and supported
• Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to increase efficiency and productivity
• Provide regular updates and reports on the progress, challenges, and successes of engineering initiatives
