Senior Environment Artist

Summary

Join T-Minus Zero, a remote-first studio, as a Senior Environment Artist to contribute to the creation of AAA game environments. You will work closely with the Lead Environment Artist and other teams to build assets and spaces.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as an Environment artist in the gaming industry
• Strong portfolio showcasing high-quality 3D art pieces and a deep understanding of environmental design
• Proven experience with 3D modeling and texturing tools like ZBrush, 3ds Max, Maya, and Substance Painter
• A deep understanding of the technical constraints related to real-time rendering
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, creation, and implementation of game environments, including architecture, props, terrain, lighting, and atmospheric effects
• Collaborate closely with designers, engineers, and other artists to ensure the game's visual and technical quality
• Understand and work within the project's art direction
• Implement efficient workflows and production pipelines while identifying potential improvements

Preferred Qualifications

• Expert knowledge of Unreal Engine 4/5, including lighting, texturing, streaming, and optimization
• Experience with procedurally generated workflows such as Houdini or Unreal PCG
• Experience with PBR (Physically-Based Rendering) workflows
