Summary

Join Databricks as a Senior Event Marketing Manager (Expo) and play a key role in creating exceptional event experiences. You will report to the Sr. Group Manager, Event Marketing and collaborate with cross-functional teams to manage expo workstreams for Data + AI Summit and World Tour programs. This remote position requires strong project management skills, experience in expo execution, and excellent communication abilities. You will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans, partnering with stakeholders, and ensuring timely internal communications. Success in this role involves exceeding program goals and driving the overall show floor strategy. Databricks offers a competitive compensation package and benefits.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of event marketing experience, especially in project management for expos and show floors
  • Strong project and time management skills, demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities within agreed-upon timelines and budgets
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including comfort in driving successful group meetings and leading discussions
  • Experience with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Mail), MS Excel, Mac, and technology literacy
  • Capacity for exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders
  • Experience in working with and managing agencies and vendors involved with expo execution
  • Must be extremely organized, detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Must be metrics-driven and enjoy analysis of data points from the conference platform that are directly related to the success and future of the conference

Responsibilities

  • Develop structured and thorough project plans for expo-related workstreams, analyzing past plans and feedback to create the foundational structure of workstream management
  • Partner with cross-functional global teams and stakeholders to build a comprehensive roadmap for workstream strategies, timelines, and expectations
  • Create a complete plan for timely internal communications related to your workstreams (project plans, logistics, DACI, briefs, meeting notes, etc.)
  • Utilize the best program technology, materials, and systems to enhance workstream project management
  • Support the team to exceed program goals including registration/attendance, engagement, internal and external stakeholder satisfaction, and streamlined workstream plans
  • Drive the overall strategy for what comprises the show floor and oversee the execution with partners, including sponsor booths, and customers

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce, Tableau, Asana, Rainfocus, and Swoogo experience
