Summary
Join Age of Learning as a Senior Experience Designer and contribute to a key 2025 reactivation initiative by designing a cohesive user journey to re-engage former subscribers. You will also play a vital role in our major brand refresh, ensuring consistent branding across all digital and marketing experiences. This role involves all phases of the design process, from conceptualization to user testing and production. You will collaborate with stakeholders and the marketing team, acting as a UX expert and advisor. The ideal candidate possesses extensive UX/UI experience in app development, expertise in design software, and a strong understanding of mobile-first and responsive design.
Requirements
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in HCI, Design, Graphic Design, Industrial Design, or a related area
- Possess 6+ years of experience in the app development industry specializing in UX/UI
- Demonstrate expertise in Adobe products including XD, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, and Acrobat
- Be very experienced with prototyping design software (Figma, Sketch, or similar tools) and the prototype development process
- Have extensive experience in using UI/UX design best practices to design solutions, and a deep understanding of mobile-first and responsive design
- Be able to create complex interactive prototypes to express interactive design ideas based upon user and stakeholder input and feedback
- Possess a proven ability to adapt and adhere to an established visual style and build upon it
- Have experience designing cohesive customer journeys across multiple touchpoints, including targeted marketing campaigns, landing pages, and activation flows
- Have experience contributing to large-scale brand refresh initiatives and ensuring consistency in brand identity across multiple platforms
Responsibilities
- Create concepts, user flows, wireframes, mockups, or prototypes to define, present, and iterate on UX and UI designs
- Develop style guides and mood boards and help guide and systemize visual design features
- Design engaging and effective marketing materials, including but not limited to: digital ads, social media graphics, and email campaigns
- Design beautiful and scalable UI assets and vector icons to work across multiple platforms
- Create and manage the marketing creative UI toolkit and patterns
- Conduct user research, observe and learn from user behavior, and utilize behavioral data to generate practical insights
- Understand and incorporate the needs and preferences of our audience into the development of the user experience
- Collaborate with the marketing team to understand project objectives, target audience, and brand guidelines
- Act as the UX expert and advisor to the rest of the team/department on those principles, standards, and best practices
- Clearly and effectively communicate design processes, ideas, and solutions to teams and stakeholders and incorporate stakeholder feedback and revisions to refine designs
- Understand technical and business requirements and always strive to deliver intuitive and user-centered solutions
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, design tools, and best practices
Preferred Qualifications
- Possess basic knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and principles of responsive design and modern software development workflow, and JavaScript skills
- Have experience with character animation
- Have experience with cancellation and reactivation journeys
