Requirements

  • 2 - 5+ years of finance/accounting experience
  • High proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, PowerPoint, and Financial ERP systems
  • Experience working with C-suite level leadership (direct reporting, presentations, etc.) and comfortable speaking in large groups
  • Ability to lead work initiatives with cross functional coordination with stakeholders
  • Ability to disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to details and accuracy
  • Highly motivated, quick learner and enthusiastic about their work

Responsibilities

  • Lead comprehensive financial forecasting: Manage monthly and annual budgeting processes, consolidate financial models, and ensure alignment with accounting practices for accurate projections
  • Drive strategic business partnerships: Collaborate with operational leaders to model expenses, headcount, and compensation, ensuring financial controls and accuracy in forecasts
  • Deliver detailed monthly/quarterly financial reporting: Partner with accounting for accurate close, analyze variances, and create executive-level financial summaries and narratives
  • Enhance product profitability analysis: Expand product-level reporting to reflect accurate P&L financials, including cost allocation and automation
  • Optimize financial processes through automation and tool implementation: Implement and optimize FP&A tools, automate processes using scripting languages, and transition to visualization-based reporting
  • Support strategic projects with financial analysis: Conduct financial analyses for new product development, competitive analysis, and other strategic initiatives to drive business growth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience working in the lending industry is highly valuable
  • Very strong Excel and deck/slide creation (PowerPoint) skills
  • Big plus if you can write code scripts (Python, R or other equivalent) to automate and streamline reporting and processes
  • Formula auditing
  • SQL or other database coding experience
  • Experience rolling out new products/analyzing new product financials
