Requirements

  • Hold a BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field
  • Possess 10+ years of experience, including 5 years as a Financial Analyst
  • Demonstrate excellent analytical skills with experience in financial statement analysis, financial metrics, and understanding of basic GAAP accounting principles
  • Have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, primarily Excel
  • Demonstrate intellectual curiosity, problem-solving skills, business acumen, and enthusiasm
  • Possess high attention to detail with an excellent understanding of financial analysis
  • Exhibit excellent communication and organizational skills, and a proven ability to collaborate across teams, functions, and departments
  • Ability to work well with a team and thrive independently

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a strategic thought partner for the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasurer on cash, budget, forecasting, or profitability issues
  • Manage the budget/forecast, including Income Statements, Balance Sheets, Cash Flow statements, and presentation of the budget to leadership
  • Establish pro forma analysis templates for projects and capital expenditures
  • Collaborate across departments to gather financial information and provide financial guidance and support
  • Prepare summarized information and present recommendations to departments and senior management
  • Consistently seek to improve processes to enhance controls and structure during periods of high growth
  • Complete any other duties/special projects assigned by the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and Treasurer

Preferred Qualifications

  • Hold an MBA
  • Have experience in and knowledge of administrative, energy, or utility business models
  • Have experience in alternative energy and energy conservation programs
  • Have experience with overseas operations
