Summary

Join Twilio as a Senior Financial Analyst, G&A, and partner with People and Finance teams to support budget management, forecasting, and analysis. Lead strategic financial planning, manage the OPEX budget and headcount, and own the in-quarter pacing process. Collaborate with Sourcing and Accounting teams on purchase requisitions and purchase orders. Conduct ad hoc financial analysis and communicate findings clearly. This highly visible role requires strong financial and analytical skills, experience with financial reporting and budgeting, and excellent communication abilities. The position is remote and based in Canada, with occasional travel required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Business, Economics or related field, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of finance experience, ideally in a high growth Technology or Software/SaaS environment
  • Experience owning financial reporting and budgeting analysis, including managing in-period pacing of expenses
  • Strong financial and analytical skills and the ability to break financial processes and concepts into specific tasks and simple terms
  • Project management and organizational skills, including the ability to partner with Accounting and FP&A teams across the organization
  • Ability to communicate clearly and succinctly in prose, presentations, and verbally to multiple levels within the organization
  • Advanced Excel/Google Sheets skills
  • Some experience with FP&A systems and tools e.g. Anaplan, Oracle, Tableau
  • Understanding of GAAP accounting principles and procedures

Responsibilities

  • Partner with the People and Finance leadership teams to analyze complex business decisions and provide sound financial perspectives
  • Lead strategic financial planning processes from start to finish for the global People and Finance teams. This includes managing monthly, quarterly, annual, and long-term forecasts, as well as tactical planning with the global teams
  • Partner with the Sourcing and Accounting teams on processes related to managing purchase requisitions and purchase orders. This includes coordination with the teams on the review and approval of PRs/POs and supporting the month end accrual process
  • Manage the OPEX budget and headcount for all teams within the People and Finance organizations
  • Own the in quarter pacing process for the People and Finance spend, and prepare and communicate monthly vendor spend variances
  • Support ad hoc financial analysis, as needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience supporting G&A organizations
  • Experience with Anaplan, Oracle, Tableau
