Summary

Join Platform Science as an FP&A Analyst to contribute to the evolution of our financial reporting and forecasting. You will build and create new forecast models, develop segmented P&L, and conduct profitability analyses. Initially, you will participate in integrating financial models from a recent acquisition. Long-term, you will collaborate with cross-functional leadership to improve internal reporting, enhance forecasting, and conduct financial analyses to support company scaling. The ideal candidate thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys problem-solving, and is willing to challenge the status quo.

Requirements

  • 5+ years in FP&A or a related field with a focus on forecasting, budgeting, and financial analysis, preferably in a SaaS environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and a proactive approach to problem-solving
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel for financial modeling and data analysis
  • Positive attitude, intellectual curiosity, and adaptability within a dynamic, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a cross-functional team, with a desire to take ownership of reporting and forecasting tasks

Responsibilities

  • Reporting and Data Analysis : Design, build, and maintain internal reporting systems to provide leadership with relevant data insights
  • FP&A Process Improvement : Identify and propose enhancements to FP&A tools and processes, leveraging data connections and technology to improve efficiency
  • Budgeting and Forecasting : Lead the operating expense (opex) budgeting and forecasting processes, including preparing monthly forecasts and conducting variance analysis
  • Technical Partnership : Collaborate with technical teams to report on and analyze hosting and data costs
  • Revenue and Ad Hoc Analysis : Provide revenue forecasting support and conduct ad hoc financial analyses as needed
  • Collaboration with Department Leaders : Work with departmental leads to prepare annual budgets and quarterly updates
  • Executive and Board Presentations : Support the preparation of presentations for executives, the board, and investors as opportunities arise

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with Adaptive Planning is strongly preferred
