Senior Front-End Engineer

Summary

Join Bitwarden's UI Foundation team as a Senior Front-End Engineer and contribute to building and maintaining core components of our codebase. You will collaborate with designers, support other teams, and participate in code reviews. This is a fully remote position based in the U.S., offering the opportunity to work on a growing team focused on building secure and accessible software. You will take ownership of key product areas, shaping future changes and introducing new features. The role requires expertise in modern front-end frameworks (preferably Angular) and experience building reusable libraries. Requirements

• Demonstrated experience using modern frontend frameworks (with a preference towards Angular)
• Demonstrated expertise in building reusable libraries
• Experience implementing designs from Figma or similar tools
• Familiarity with web content accessibility guidelines (WCAG) and implementing accessible experiences
• Familiarity with webpack and other build systems
• Collaborative and adaptable mindset
• Openness and authenticity combined with excellent communication skills
• Excitement and enthusiasm for open source and for better internet security
• Excellent problem-solving skills – you might not know all the answers, but you know how to find and communicate the solution

Responsibilities

• Become an expert and authority on our front-end codebase and our design system
• Participate in hands-on development of new components, building and updating components to support new features
• Collaborating with designers to implement our design system
• Support other teams in the organization with guidance and direction on front-end best practices
• Participate in code reviews, learning and spreading knowledge
• Occasionally contribute bug fixes submitted by the user community

Preferred Qualifications

Familiarity with Storybook or another similar tool
