Summary

Join Calendly's growing Engineering team as a Senior Frontend Engineer and play a key role in building and maintaining reusable frontend components for a new product. You will collaborate with designers, product managers, and other engineers to create high-quality, performant, and scalable user interfaces. You'll contribute to the evolution of the frontend architecture using React, TypeScript, Node.js, and other technologies. This position reports to an Engineering Manager and is part of the Contact Management team. Requirements

  • Proven experience building and scaling frontend applications using React and TypeScript
  • Familiarity working within microfrontend architectures or modular UI patterns
  • Solid understanding of testing practices, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing using tools such as Jest, React Testing Library, or Cypress
  • Experience working with Storybook to develop and test components in isolation
  • A strong product mindset with attention to detail and an understanding of what makes a great user experience
  • Clear, effective communication and a collaborative approach to problem-solving
  • Availability to participate in the on-call rotation, responding to business-critical issues as needed
  • Authorized to work lawfully in the United States of America as Calendly does not engage in immigration sponsorship at this time

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain scalable UI components with a focus on reusability and performance, contributing to a growing design system and component library
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with designers, product managers, and other engineers to implement new features and improve existing functionality
  • Write high-quality, tested code using modern frontend technologies and frameworks, ensuring a smooth and accessible user experience
  • Contribute to the frontend architecture by advocating for best practices in modularity, testing, and maintainability
  • Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and team ceremonies, offering thoughtful feedback and helping the team grow together
  • Partner on implementation plans for complex features, breaking down tasks into clear, manageable pieces that align with business goals
