Summary

Join Airbnb's Community Support Platform (CSP) team as a Senior Frontend Engineer and lead the team's frontend efforts. You will shape the technical vision for the platform, deliver scalable solutions, and leverage engineering innovations to improve customer experience. A typical day involves driving the Command Hub frontend vision, collaborating with engineers to build solutions, supporting product teams, and contributing to the full development cycle. This US-remote eligible position requires 6+ years of experience with TypeScript/JavaScript, proficiency in React, and strong coding skills. Requirements

  • 6+ years of industry experience with a BS/Masters or 4+ years with a PhD and experience in a fast-paced tech environment
  • Extensive hands-on experience with TypeScript/JavaScript
  • Proficiency with React and modern JavaScript libraries
  • Strong coding skills, with a solid understanding of data structures, asynchronous programming, and engineering best practices
  • Familiarity with error monitoring and management tools (e.g., Bugsnag, Datadog)
  • Fluency in HTML, CSS, and related web technologies
  • Proven ability to architect and develop solutions for complex, ambiguous problems
  • Passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of web development trends
  • Excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Drive Command Hub frontend vision and improve its architecture by adopting modern technologies
  • Work with other engineers (frontend and backend) to design and build high-quality end-to-end solutions
  • Support product engineering teams to better design cutting-edge web solutions. Help clients onboard new tools to Command Hub Platform
  • Drive, lead, and contribute to the full development cycle: technical design, development, test, experimentation, analysis, and launch
  • Nurture the culture of technical quality from design, through code review, to production operations

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with GraphQL is a plus
  • Experience with web tooling building is a plus
