Senior Frontend Software Engineer

Summary

Join Samsara's Routing team as a remote software engineer in Canada and contribute to the development of our innovative route planning product. You will architect, design, and develop core systems, leveraging technologies like Go, GraphQL, Typescript, React, and MySQL. This role requires expertise in React and a minimum of four years of software engineering experience. You'll collaborate with designers and engineers, ensuring seamless integration of design and engineering priorities. Requirements

• 4 or more years of software engineering experience
• You have knowledge of designing, architecting, and developing applications using JavaScript/Typescript and React
• You can translate Design Specs into code, you can act as an interface between Design and Engineering, and you can balance the priorities of Design and Engineering

Responsibilities

• Architect, design, and develop systems for powering the core of Samsara’s new route planning product
• Build upon skills and knowledge across a range of technologies such as Go, GraphQL, Typescript, React, and MySQL
• Own the operational health of production systems as we build for the future scale of an ever-growing customer base
• Mentor junior engineers, mentor the rest of the team in front end best practices
• Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new offices
