Requirements

  • Have several years of experience building frontend and backend elements of web applications
  • Have a solid understanding of core web and browser concepts, CSS, core JavaScript concepts, Ruby-on-Rails, and Angular
  • Be comfortable with working in a highly agile, intensely iterative software development process
  • Have experience owning a project from concept to production, including proposal, discussion, and execution
  • Have effective communication skills to achieve consensus with peers and provide clear status updates

Responsibilities

  • Develop frontend and backend features and improvements for OpenProject
  • Improve product quality, security, and performance
  • Fix prioritized bugs listed in our bug backlog
  • Solve challenging technical problems of high complexity
  • Recognize impediments to the team's efficiency as a team and propose and implement solutions

Preferred Qualifications

Proficiency in the English language for success in a remote and asynchronous work environment. German language skills are a plus
