Summary

Join That's No Moon, an independent game studio, as a Senior Producer to manage design team workflows and cross-disciplinary collaboration for a AAA action-adventure title. You will own portions of mission scheduling, task tracking, and ensure alignment with project requirements. Collaborate with directors, leads, and producers to drive decision-making and eliminate roadblocks. Proactively manage risks, monitor team and project health, and suggest process improvements. Assemble productivity data and create reports. Mentor junior team members. This role requires strong project management skills and a deep understanding of creative team needs.

Requirements

  • Knowledge and experience in creating AAA video games; strongly preferred with action-adventure or narrative heavy game experience
  • Experience with Jira, Shotgun/ShotGrid, Perforce or other industry standard tasking and version control software
  • In depth understanding of how production functions in game development and the need for creative space to experiment, adapt and learn
  • Excellent organizational skills with a strong capability to manage multiple complex priorities
  • Adaptive managerial skills, knowing when to use formal or informal tactics and strategy to achieve project success
  • At least 6 years of experience as a Producer in a similar field or equivalent experience
  • Strong time managerial skills in a technically sophisticated and fast-paced work environment
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • High Attention to detail, timely follow-up, and strong interpersonal skills

Responsibilities

  • Own and manage portions of the cross-department mission scheduling, related game deliverables, and task tracking to gold milestone deliverable
  • Solicit needs from departments and align them to set project requirements. Take those requirements and turn them into project plans. Work with the team to execute those plans
  • Validate department and feature schedules and ensure they fit into the big picture goals of the game
  • Work collaboratively with directors, leads and producers to drive decision making that achieves the scope and quality requirements of the game
  • Connect departments and eliminate roadblocks to ensure the team is flowing efficiently through their work
  • Proactive risk management with a keen eye for when escalation is needed. Provide risk mitigation plans and see them through
  • Monitor the team and project health, communicate risks along with suggested corrective measures to leadership
  • Suggest process improvements and assist in seeing them through
  • Assemble productivity data from the production tracking system and create reports that steer production forward
  • Drive the team towards clarity when ambiguity exists on a new deliverable type or department innovation
  • Mentor associate and mid-level members of the team on best practices to achieve project goals efficiently and collaboratively
