Requirements

  • Level VII qualification such as CFA desired
  • Strong numeracy skills with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to independently manage a complex and varied workload
  • Deep understanding of financial markets, investment strategies, and risk management, including capital market assumptions and mean variance optimisation
  • Exceptional communication skills, including the ability to present complex ideas clearly to different audiences
  • Strong report-writing skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and investment research tools such as Morningstar Direct

Responsibilities

  • Develop asset allocation strategies to align with clients' long-term financial goals
  • Analyse financial markets, economic trends, and investment research to inform strategic decisions
  • Collaborate with portfolio managers and analysts to optimise investment strategies
  • Prepare and present detailed reports on investment markets for clients and senior management
  • Research and monitor the performance of investment instruments to enhance portfolio outcomes
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial market trends and economic developments
  • Ensure compliance with investment regulations and industry standards
  • Provide reports to and attend departmental committees
  • Play an active role in recruiting, mentoring, and developing investment team members
  • Support the business in achieving its regulatory obligations, including Consumer Duty
