Requirements

• Minimum of 12-15 years' experience in litigation and investigations, ideally within the technology or financial services sectors
• Significant international experience (APAC, EMEA) is advantageous
• Demonstrate a proven track record in spearheading extensive legal operations and managing high-stakes litigation
• Possess excellent mastery of the English language, both in written and spoken form
• Proficiency in other European languages will be considered an asset
• Manifest the ability to excel in a high-intensity, dynamic environment
• Experience in dealing effectively with regulatory inquiries, processing information requests, and leading investigations is a significant advantage
• Display a keen interest in the cryptocurrency industry and its evolving landscape
• Exhibit solid legal technical expertise coupled with astute business acumen and people management skills
• Demonstrate a hands-on approach to work, showcasing independence in steering complex project management
• Have the ability to ideate and implement innovative solutions to manage risks and navigate disputes
• Possess excellent legal drafting abilities and strong skills in interpreting diverse legal documents and laws

Responsibilities

• Lead the orchestration and resolution of ongoing disputes
• Develop and execute a legal strategy to proactively respond to contentious inquiries, including litigation issues and regulatory conundrums
• Act as the key liaison with external legal counsel, confidently navigating negotiations with opposing parties
• Deliver proactive, strategic, and commercially viable legal guidance to all internal stakeholders
• Head the development and execution of a holistic legal strategy to manage potential disputes
• Take full ownership of the drafting and review process for major litigation and arbitration documents
• Collaboratively engage with cross-functional and regional teams, providing expert advice on diverse legal matters
• Act as a mentor to foster the growth of legal acumen across the organization
• Prudently identify, manage, and mitigate risks within the broader business framework
