Requirements

  • Be a proven finance professional with management accountant experience at a start-up who is comfortable with ambiguity and a fast pace
  • Have relevant post-qualification finance experience (qualified with CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent)
  • Have experience with SQL and data infrastructure
  • Have a robust character with the ability to pivot and adapt to changing priorities
  • Be a process-minded individual who can identify weaknesses in a process and who are confident to implement change
  • Be a naturally a problem solver with attention to detail and scientific approach to data analysis and insight
  • Have worked closely with stakeholders in a remote setting
  • Be systematic and organised. Have experience in roles with multiple responsibilities
  • Have exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • Have fantastic Excel Skills and experience within the Google Suite environment
  • Have a solid knowledge of IFRS
  • Be a great collaborator with a positive attitude who people enjoy working with. Have experience working cross-functionally

Responsibilities

  • Own the payroll process - collaborating with our People team, PEO and other external providers to ensure all aspects of this process are operating smoothly and accurately
  • Ensure business processes are designed and executed with automation as a key feature, limiting manual inputs through leveraging external software and our own internal data
  • Work with our external tax providers to ensure certain regulatory and tax compliance matters are dealt with on a timely basis
  • Perform monthly financial reporting, ad-hoc project analyses, and supporting financial models for the Group for both UK and US entities
  • Identify opportunities to enhance finance as a function. Support or own the delivery of key projects, ranging from systems implementation to improving processes for a scaling business and controls for audit
  • Support enhancement and delivery of insightful reporting to our Exec team, our Board and Venture Capital investors
  • Manage year-end queries and support on data requests during the external audit process
  • Balance sheet controls; ensuring ownership and communication across teams for key accounts
