Requirements
- 5-8 years of experience in Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) within the Convenience industry
- In-depth knowledge of and experience working with Convenience retailers, distributors, and brokers
- Proven experience in sales forecasting and strong analytical skills with experience working with SPINS, Nielsen, and Numerator data
- Proficient in trade management and demand planning software, MS Office, Google Docs, and other online applications
- Strong relationship-building, networking, and communication skills. Must be able to engage with people at all levels and create a positive association with the Chomps brand
- Highly collaborative, able to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve results
- Must be resourceful, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, high-demand environment
- Ability to travel approximately 50% of the time, including trade shows, sales calls, and regional meetings
Responsibilities
- Oversee total sales and P&L responsibility for assigned retailers, ensuring growth and profitability
- Manage headquarter relationships for Convenience, Travel, and Higher Education retailers, including regular communication and collaboration to drive product distribution and sales
- Drive growth by managing the performance of distributors and brokers. Implement Chomps Broker Scorecard and execute quarterly ride-alongs with brokers to ensure alignment and results
- Analyze consumption and distributor data to identify challenges and opportunities, leading initiatives to quickly drive new product/category distribution
- Collaborate with the marketing team to implement retailer promotional plans, ensuring alignment with broader sales and marketing strategies, and where applicable, shopper marketing tactics
- Ensure achievement of distribution, shelf management, pricing, and promotional objectives for key accounts
- Lead innovation efforts to identify new business opportunities, working with the internal innovation team, operations, and leadership to execute new product and pricing strategies
- Develop a monthly calendar that includes retailer appointments, broker meetings, distributor meetings, trade shows, and regional corporate visits. Conduct market tours covering all major customers
- Take ownership of organizational goals, work cross-functionally with internal teams, and contribute to projects outside of your direct scope when needed
