Summary

The Senior Manager of Patient Recruitment will collaborate with the Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Business Development to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for participant recruitment and retention in clinical trials, overseeing and leading the remote patient recruitment team. The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, 8+ years of experience in patient recruitment for clinical research, 5+ years of experience utilizing key metrics to achieve specific goals, and 5+ years of experience managing a remote workforce in either a healthcare call center or patient recruitment setting.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Executive Director of Clinical Operations and Business Development to develop and execute comprehensive strategies for participant recruitment and retention in clinical trials
  • Oversee and lead the strategic and operational functions of the remote patient recruitment team, ensuring optimal team efficiency, process optimization, and achievement of key recruitment targets
  • Implement and refine streamlined processes, establish strategic goals, and ensure the generation of advanced reports, in-depth trend analysis, and rigorous team performance evaluations
  • Provide hands-on leadership, offering continuous feedback and spearheading professional development initiatives to enhance team capabilities and performance
  • Work closely with the clinical team to gain a deep understanding of trial requirements and patient needs, and use this knowledge to identify and target optimal patient demographics for recruitment
  • Utilize key performance indicators (KPIs) such as call volumes, abandonment rates, and patient conversion metrics to assess team performance and implement enhancements
  • Ensure all recruitment activities are conducted in accordance with regulatory standards and ethical guidelines
  • Establish and monitor service volume and timeliness benchmarks, driving continuous process improvements and enabling data-driven decision-making
  • Work collaboratively with other departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance, deliver high-quality service, and maintain high levels of patient satisfaction
  • Direct line management of the patient recruiting team

Preferred Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a startup environment
