As a Claims & Insurance Operations expert, you will provide oversight and guidance on claims, manage relationships with TPAs, and contribute to the development of insurance and regulatory frameworks for autonomous vehicles. You will support risk management, safety enhancements, and the implementation of insurance processes for Waymo's business models. This remote role requires strong communication and project management skills, along with a passion for high-growth environments. You will collaborate with internal teams, insurance companies, and vendors on various insurance-related matters, providing insurance thought leadership.
Requirements
- 12+ years 12+ years insurance claim experience (preferably in Auto, Gl, PL, WC) and 5+ years in claims leadership
- Experience creating and documenting processes
- Ability to excel as an individual contributor with an eye towards building a world class team
- Ability to obtain an insurance adjustor license - as needed
- Advanced communication skills which are critical to building consensus across areas of influence (external and/or internal relationships), team, and/or matrix environment
- The ability to effectively manage multiple projects while prioritizing high impact work
- Exposure to and passion for high growth environments
- A strong ambition and excitement towards developing and innovating processes
- Bachelor's Degree or higher, J.D preferred
Responsibilities
- Help shape the future of insurance in an autonomous world
- Provide oversight and guidance on claims related to insured products
- Manage relationships with Third-Party Administrators (TPAs) to ensure a customer-focused experience
- Contribute to the development of insurance and regulatory frameworks for Autonomous Vehicles
- Support risk management and advisory activities, including underwriting data collection
- Support safety enhancements of our product through risk advisory efforts
- Assist in developing and implementing appropriate insurance processes for Waymo's business models
- Assist with contract and deal reviews including insurance contract setups
- Provide insurance thought leadership the the team and the company
- Collaborate with internal teams, insurance companies, and vendors on various insurance-related matters
