Join SmithRx, a rapidly growing Health-Tech company disrupting the Pharmacy Benefit Management (PBM) sector, as a Senior Data Engineering Manager. You will lead a team of data engineers in building a scalable, trustworthy data platform that powers internal analytics, AI/ML products, and customer-facing applications. This role involves defining and executing a strategic roadmap for data infrastructure, designing and maintaining a high-performance data platform, and championing data quality across the company. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering and business teams to deliver impactful data solutions that directly contribute to SmithRx's business outcomes. This position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience managing data engineering teams and is open to applicants based in specific states.
Requirements
- 8+ years of experience in software and data engineering with at least 5 years managing teams
- Deep expertise in data warehousing (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift), ETL, and data pipeline orchestration (e.g., Airflow, dbt)
- Experience working on data platforms that support AI/ML and business critical external integrations
- Experience driving data quality measurement and improvement
- Passion for aligning a data infrastructure roadmap with business outcomes
- Ability to forge trusting relationships with cross functional engineering and business partners
Responsibilities
- Lead and grow a high-performing data engineering team, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, accountability and innovation
- Define and execute a strategic roadmap for data infrastructure, ensuring alignment with business goals and product needs
- Design, build, and maintain a scalable, reliable, and high-performance data platform that supports multiple use cases, including internal analysis and reporting, AI/ML workloads, external integrations and customer facing products
- Champion data quality across the company ensuring data remains trustworthy across a complex ecosystem of both internal and external inputs
