Summary
Join Appfire as a Senior Manager of Data Products and lead the next phase of our success with data and decision tools. You will take a holistic view of Appfire's data, providing teams and systems with resources and a shared roadmap to achieve outcomes. Leveraging expertise in data systems and product management, you will shape and execute a strategy that harnesses data's value. Reporting to the Data Insights team, you will build relationships and foster understanding of Appfire's data ecosystem. You will work cross-functionally to understand and support data needs across all company areas. This role requires remote work from the EST time zone. Requirements
- 8+ years in data product management, data engineering, data analytics or data science with a strong understanding of stack design, warehousing and best practices
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English, with the ability to engage and present to both technical and non-technical audiences
- Proven experience managing multiple concurrent projects at both the individual contributor and team level. Hands on management experience, taking on individual contributor assignments to act as a force multiplier and best practice conduit
- Demonstrated expertise in managing company-wide data strategies and aligning cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience with AWS, DBT, and Snowflake and enterprise systems (CDP/Event Tracking, CRM, SEO/SEM, and ERP) required
- Remote Work: Experience working remotely with minimal supervision while delivering high-impact results
Responsibilities
- Build and execute a cross-functional vision of how Appfire’s data systems work together as one
- Scope and manage new and evolving systems designs resulting in Product Requirements Documents (PRDs) that bring teams together across shared priorities. Bring expertise to the table across systems and data design to act as a trusted advisor, assisting teams in seeing the larger landscape to what data means at Appfire
- Lead Data Insights’ product and agile project management efforts (partnering with one direct report) to coordinate, build cross-department alignment and create roadmaps to deliver value through supporting the team, embedded analysts and stakeholder decisions across Appfire
Preferred Qualifications
- Familiarity with Python, SQL, is preferred
- Passion and vision for building department-level agile implementation strategies, operations and roadmaps within Jira or other project management tools
- Preferred Location: East Coast to support EU timezones
