Summary
Join Penumbra as a Senior Manager of Hospital Engagement and contribute to the development and implementation of market access strategies. You will collaborate with various teams to expand market access for current and future products. This role requires partnering with executive leaders and key opinion leaders to support market access strategies. Responsibilities include field implementation, strategy effectiveness and expansion, and participation in strategic development. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical, communication, and collaborative skills, along with experience in the medical device industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, life sciences, engineering, or related discipline with 8+ years of experience in medical device industry
- Successful track record of developing and executing against long range plans
- Demonstrated and passionate learning agility with a continuous improvement mindset
- High capacity to work collaboratively across multiple functional areas at varying levels of the organization
- Must have a demonstrated ability to learn and understand the markets and should have analytical and extrapolative thinking and influencing skills
- Excellent presentation and communication skills, proactive and resourceful with a “can do” attitude
- Innovative and able to think openly, broadly, and strategically
- Strong analytical skills, able to draw conclusions from data, manage information and trends

Responsibilities
- Partner effectively across the business, including with Market Access Managers, Product Marketing, Therapy Development, Strategic Accounts, Medical Education, Reimbursement, Corporate Strategy, and field teams to develop strategies and adapt / localize health economic models, value analysis, and clinical evidence to address hospital systems’ specific needs (including outcomes research)
- Proactively monitor external environment, customers, and competitors to identify opportunities for expanding market access
- Regularly measure success of implementation through analysis and tracking of goals, accomplishments, and business impact
- Participate in the development of strategy, roadmap, and vision for appropriate engagement with hospital executives and administrators including establishing constructive relationships and long-term plans for partnering with Penumbra
- Understand and support the full range of Company policies and priorities, including healthcare compliance principles and the Company’s Compliance Program, and the Company’s commitment to following the regulations, obligations, and standards that apply to the Company
- Represent Penumbra externally
- Adhere to the Company’s Quality Management System (QMS) as well as domestic and global quality system regulations, standards, and procedures
- Understand relevant security, privacy and compliance principles and adhere to the regulations, standards, and procedures that are applicable to the Company
- Ensure other members of the department follow the QMS, regulations, standards, and procedures
- Perform other work-related duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA or Advanced degree
- Medical device, pharmaceutical, biotech, or other regulated industry experience desired
