Requirements

  • 10+ years of research experience working within the political, industry, or advocacy fields
  • Proficiency with research tools such as LexisNexis, and public records databases
  • Experience managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders
  • Highly organized and able to stay on top of multiple projects simultaneously, while staying focused on overall strategic goals
  • Ability to quickly get up to speed on complex issues, and understand how these can be managed using a broad range of strategies
  • Expert communicator with great interpersonal and presentation skills
  • Experience working on a global team, collaborating with people from different backgrounds and cultures
  • First-rate personal, political, analytical and organizational skills
  • Excellent communicator with great interpersonal and presentation skills, both for subject matter experts and the layperson
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaborate successfully as part of a team
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to multi-task while producing high caliber work product in a timely manner
  • Self starter with a sense of humor and the ability to thrive in a fast moving and sometimes stressful environment

Responsibilities

  • Conduct research on the travel, lodging and housing industries
  • Produce strategic reports that include actionable public policy and advocacy recommendations
  • Work within the Reputation and Research team to outline strategic priorities, develop a reasonable timeline for completion, budget, and develop operational plans to deliver the reports along with an assessment of practical deployment of the information
  • Develop strategies in close collaboration with colleagues on the wider team who have expertise in data science as well as those who have a specific regional or industry perspective on best practices and learnings
  • Work with other functions to align research projects with other critical business priorities and outcomes
  • Ensure that internal stakeholders understand the strategy and plans, and that information is flowing smoothly to everyone with a β€œneed to know”
  • Ensure that progress is being reported regularly, and that roadblocks and successes are being flagged appropriately
  • Confidently communicate with senior leaders about your project priorities, manage expectations where required and coordinate with other teams to achieve greater goals
  • Create an environment that fosters and promotes diversity and inclusion within the immediate team
