Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 8 years experience in sales or account management within the convenience and/or gas channels
- 3-5 years of direct management experience
- Strong understanding of local market dynamics and retail distribution channels
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Results-oriented with a track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets
- Ability to analyze data, draw insights, and make strategic recommendations
Responsibilities
- Manage and develop relationships with your regionโs direct store distributors (DSDs)
- Work closely with DSDs to ensure effective product distribution, timely deliveries, and inventory management
- Ensure the brand is consistently represented according to company guidelines in all retail outlets
- Implement and execute merchandising plans to enhance brand visibility and awareness
- Conduct training sessions for retailers andย DSDs to enhance product knowledge and improve sales performance
- Provide ongoing support and resources to ensure successful product placement and sales
- Monitor and analyze market conditions, consumer preferences, and competitor activities
- Provide regular reports and insights to the leadership team on market trends and opportunities
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key local retailers
- Collaborate with retailers to understand their needs, provide product education, and ensure optimal product placement and visibility
- Work closely with other sales leaders to ensure alignment with overall company sales strategies
- Participate in sales meetings, training programs, and strategy sessions
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve any issues that arise
- Develop and implement a comprehensive sales strategy for the region, including identifying and targeting chains, new categories of stores, etc., and deploying DSDs against them
- Analyze regional market trends to identify sales opportunities and potential challenges
- Establish sales targets and KPIs, and monitor performance against these goals
