Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications (preferred)
- 5+ years of marketing communications experience
- 5+ years in a strategic analyst relations position
- A team player with a positive attitude and collaborative work style
- Trusted relationships with analysts and influencers
- Knowledge of trends in communications and analyst relations
- Exceptional interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills and attention to detail
- Experience working directly with executives, product management, and product marketing functions
- Proven ability to balance strategic thinking with tactical execution
- Ability to be creative, strategic, analytical, and think outside the box
- Ability to develop metrics, build executive summaries, and communicate market insights
- Ability to work independently, managing multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision
- Strong project management and time management skills
Responsibilities
- Conduct market research on specific topics requested by various Brightcove teams
- Identify analysts covering key research topics and organize analyst query calls
- Interact with and support various business functions globally
- Review analyst publications for mentions of Brightcove and its competitors, sharing this information with stakeholders
- Attend and summarize key webinars relevant to Brightcove's industry and business
- Advise Brightcove leaders and internal teams on analyst perceptions, competitive insights, and industry trends
- Provide estimates of the addressable market for opportunities related to Brightcove's product and go-to-market strategies
- Track competitors providing alternatives for each distinct market need addressed by product strategy
- Compare Brightcove's capabilities and integrations to competing products
- Provide feedback to Product and Marketing teams on competitor strengths and their market importance
- Develop and implement analyst relations plans aligned with company objectives
- Manage purchasing and price negotiations with analyst relations firms
- Regularly meet with analyst contacts to identify upcoming coverage where Brightcove should be evaluated
- Drive Brightcove's participation in major analyst research publications, coordinating cross-functional teams
- Generate Analyst Relations content, including briefing documents, messaging, and competitive positioning
- Act as editor to ensure evaluations position Brightcove's answers favorably, maintaining consistent and professional writing style and obtaining executive approvals
- Manage reporting, results analysis, and distribution of key analyst reports
