Summary

The job is for a Senior Network Engineer at Wonders, a profitable tech company specializing in providing AI-enabled solutions to small restaurants. The role involves managing the company's global network infrastructure, including SDWAN, Cloud Networking (AWS), routers, wireless networking, Firewalls, Switches, Load Balancers, VPN, QoS, MPLS, SBCs, PBX platforms, and circuits. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of experience in network administration, deep understanding of networking protocols, and hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.

Requirements

• 4+ years of proven hands-on experience in a network administrator role
• Hands on experience in networking, SDWAN, routing, switching, VoIP, wireless
• Deep understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, HSRP, BGP, OSPF, 802.11, QoS, route redistribution, Spanning Tree)
• Knowledge on Cisco, ASA, Dynamic Routing, OSPF, Proxy Servers, Web Filtering and Networking (LAN/WAN, VLAN, DNS, MPLS)
• Solid understanding of the OSI or TCP/IP model
• Hands-on working knowledge of carrier-grade VoIP infrastructure, specifically: hosted PBXs platforms (Asterisk), endpoint devices (Polycom, Cisco SPA)
• Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic and network analytics tools
• Excellent knowledge of best practices around management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure
• Experience with firewalls, Internet VPN’s remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution
• Ability to setup and configure server hardware and deployments in on-prem data centers
• Ability to configure network infrastructure with IaC such as Terraform
• Maintain version control of configurations using Github
• Experience in network setup in cloud environments such as AWS (Direct Connect, Transit Gateway, VPC Peering)
• Able to understand and analyze WireShark results to solve complex SIP VoIP and IP internetworking challenges
• Great at organizing, prioritizing and multitasking
• Self-learner, independent, and have outstanding problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• BS in Electronics and Communications Engineering or related field
• Must be able to work night shift and be flexible to work off hours and weekends if required

Responsibilities

• Design, administer, maintain and support the availability, performance and security of the network systems
• Monitor network performance and test for weaknesses
• Monitor and identify capacity, quality, and performance issues for VoIP traffic
• Perform network maintenance and system upgrades
• Provide Level-2/3 support and troubleshooting to resolve issues reported by end users
• Perform analysis of maintenance failures, research trends, causes of failures, and recommend solutions to avert future failures
• Perform, and troubleshoot, on all voice services for all LAN and WAN hardware modules
• Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
• Define network policies and procedures
