Senior Network Engineer

Summary

The job is for a Network Automation Engineer at intive. The role involves creating cost-effective solutions, configuring and integrating nodes into networks, maintaining the environment, assisting with bug fixing, and improving existing code base. The candidate should have relevant experience and skills in network security, firewall configuration, IT processes, tools, infrastructure, software operating systems, CI/CD pipelines, source control tools, and understanding of the entire software lifecycle.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience as a Python Developer or Network Automation Engineer
• Knowledge in the areas of network, switching/routing, MC-LAG, BGP, VPN solution and infrastructure nodes and tools
• Firewall configuration knowledge (access policies)
• Experience building software for network configuration
• IT Processes, tools and infrastructure knowledge
• Understanding of different software operating systems
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and associated tools
• Knowledge of the entire software lifecycle (Development, Build, Test, Integration)
• System integration
• Experience with source control tools: Git, GitLab, Gerrit
• Experience working in an Agile Scrum team

Responsibilities

• You will create cost-effective solutions through activities within the network, network security design, planning and deployment
• You will configure and integrate nodes and solutions into networks (new and existing)
• You will maintain the environment at an operative state
• Assist with fixing bugs and continuous improvement of existing code base

Preferred Qualifications

• DevOps/SysAdmin skills are a great advantage
• Design architecture skills would be a distinct advantage
• Juniper certifications
• Knowledge of: IS-IS, EVPN, MPLS
