Summary

Join Salt Lake's premier Managed Service Provider as a Sr. NOC Wireless Engineer! This remote position, requiring a two-week relocation for training, offers a competitive salary ($75,000-$120,000/year) and excellent benefits. You will support and maintain enterprise-level customer wireless solutions, design and troubleshoot wireless deployments, and collaborate with colleagues. The ideal candidate possesses a B.A./B.S. in a technical field or equivalent experience, a CCNP or CCIE certification, and 5+ years of experience in enterprise wireless solutions. This is a full-time position with occasional evening and weekend work.

Requirements

  • B.A. or B.S. in a technical field or a relevant combination of education and experience
  • CCNP or CCIE Needed
  • 5+ years of experience in implementing, managing and supporting enterprise wireless solutions, including Cisco, Aruba and Arista
  • Intermediate to expert understanding of several different platforms of wireless solutions
  • Understanding of heat-map and AP placement technologies
  • Comfortable documenting and explaining wireless topologies
  • Excellent wireless troubleshooting skills
  • Diagram and explain technical solutions to technical and non-technical audiences

Responsibilities

  • Support and maintain enterprise level customer wireless solutions that may include several technologies
  • Support and maintain network hardware and software infrastructure according to best practices, including routers, load balancers, switches, wifi controllers, and firewalls
  • Design, architect and troubleshoot Wireless deployments
  • Design, architect and troubleshoot switching topologies with Trunks, EtherChannels, Spanning Tree, DHCP Snooping, ARP inspection, etc
  • Remotely Diagnose problems and solve issues, often under time constraints
  • Provide network incident response, firewall and VPN management and administration and troubleshooting
  • Provide network documentation
  • Monitor network usage, anticipate problems and suggest solutions
  • Manage incidents and tasks in ticketing system
  • Work closely with colleagues to meet team goals and improve processes and practices
  • Remain current on emerging technologies via professional groups, trade magazines, internal and external training, independent research and study, and other avenues available
  • Perform network security design and integration
  • Perform other tasks as requested
