Summary

Join Ghost Story Games, a self-publishing game development studio, as a Senior Operations Manager! You will lead day-to-day studio operations, manage recruiting and onboarding, support staff with benefits, and handle communications. Requirements

  • Very strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Good judgement in task prioritization
  • Strong follow through and follow-up
  • Experience with process improvement pipelines
  • Experience using project management software such as Monday.com
  • 7+ years experience in a similar role (tasks and scope)
  • Strong written communication
  • Solution oriented mindset
  • Flexibility and comfort working in a small and nimble team

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with studio leadership on all aspects of studio operations
  • Lead all recruiting and onboarding efforts
  • Support staff with answering benefits questions
  • Distribute staff-wide communications on behalf of the studio
  • Ensure all legal documents are accurately processed and archived, including but not limited to non-disclosure agreements, business agreements, and music licensing agreements
  • Although we are remote first, ensure facilities are maintained, schedule repairs when necessary, and ensure compliance with health and safety requirements
  • Expense reports for office purchases and other studio expenditures
  • Lead on-site meetings and events including research, booking and payment for catering, travel, and venues
  • Collaborates with internal teams, external vendors, and corporate service teams to optimize studio operations and processes
  • Consistently move the company and projects forward by identifying where new processes and procedures can be implemented
  • Create reports using excel or viseo to support decisions around optimizing studio operations
  • Maintain project trackers to report status updates regularly to the Executive Director of Studio Affairs and Leadership team as needed
  • Additional projects and tasks as assigned
