Remote Senior Oracle Database Administrator

Summary

ProArch is seeking an experienced Oracle Database Administrator to manage and maintain their databases across multiple environments. The administrator will be responsible for performance, integrity, and security of Oracle databases, working closely with other teams to ensure smooth operation of database systems. They should have strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts and architecture, proficiency in Oracle 19c, experience with performance tuning and optimization, and backup and recovery operations.

Requirements

• Good in Backup and Recovery skills
• Stay up-to-date with the latest Oracle database technologies and best practices
• 5+ years of experience as an Oracle DBA
• Strong knowledge of Oracle database concepts and architecture
• Experience in managing Multitenant architecture with CDB and PDB
• Proficiency in Oracle 19c
• Experience with performance tuning and optimization and patching
• Must have worked into Big File Table spaces
• Knowledge of any scripting - Shell, Python or Bash
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Manage and maintain Oracle databases across multiple environments
• Extensive experience as an Oracle Database Administrator working on large to very large databases and in 24*7 systems
• Sense of Database Architecture
• Migrating databases across servers and platforms
• Expertise in Performance tuning, Database tuning, troubleshooting and database upgrades or Shell Scripting
• Performs installations, upgrades and patching, backup and recovery, performance tuning, security, monitoring and configuration
• Monitors and ensures the day-to-day administration and maintenance of Oracle customer production databases, ensuring that the databases are available, performing properly and safe
