Join Cybereason's Finance team as a Senior Payroll Specialist, managing US-based employee payroll and coordinating with EMEA payroll providers. You will process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll, reconcile accounts, respond to employee inquiries, collaborate with HR and Finance, and assist with audits. Requirements
- Bachelorβs degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- 3+ years of payroll processing experience in a multi-state U.S. environment
- Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Workday, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of federal and state wage and hour laws, including FLSA, FMLA, and payroll tax regulations and filing
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong Excel Skills
- Ability to consistently meet monthly deadlines
Responsibilities
- Process bi-weekly/semi-monthly payroll for multi-state U.S. employees in compliance with all federal, state, and local laws
- Reconcile payroll prior to transmission and validate reports post-processing
- Respond to employee payroll inquiries in a timely and professional manner
- Collaborate with HR and Finance teams on payroll-related matters
- Assist with audits, both internal and external, related to payroll
- Monitor and reconcile all state payroll tax accounts to ensure accurate balances and resolve discrepancies quickly
- Track and ensure compliance with tax requirements in multiple states when employees work remotely or across state lines
- Stay up to date with changes in payroll laws and best practices
- Prepare variable payroll data for processing by local payroll providers
- Perform payroll controls for verifying the accuracy, completeness, and reasonableness of processed payroll calculations
- Preparing payroll-related documentation, including supporting materials for payroll journal entries
