Join Botanic Tonics as a Senior PR Strategist to lead strategic communications, build brand equity, and drive sales growth. You will develop and execute PR strategies, secure high-impact media placements, and position Botanic Tonics as a thought leader. The ideal candidate possesses a strong understanding of how PR directly supports business goals and thinks beyond vanity metrics. Responsibilities include media relations, spokesperson support, content creation, and industry thought leadership. The role requires 2β5 years of experience in PR, preferably within a PR agency or in-house at a CPG brand, with a proven track record of earned media wins. A BA/BS in a related field is also required.
Requirements
- 2β5 years in PR, ideally in a PR agency or in-house at a CPG brand
- Experience in consumer packaged goods, ideally beverage or wellness
- Proven track record of earned media wins in both trade and Tier 1 outlets (e.g., WSJ, NYT, CNN)
- Skilled at coordinating interviews and preparing spokespeople
- Strong writing, pitching, and communication skills
- Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable juggling multiple priorities
- Familiarity with media monitoring tools and PR platforms
- BA/BS in PR, Communications, Marketing, Journalism, or related field
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute PR strategies that drive earned media across consumer and trade outlets
- Pitch story angles, product launches, and company news to secure high-value placements
- Build relationships with journalists, editors, and influencers across wellness, beverage, and Tier 1 media
- Monitor industry trends and identify proactive PR opportunities
- Coordinate interviews with company execs and subject matter experts
- Lead media prep: messaging, Q&A development, and training
- Serve as point of contact between media and internal teams
- Write press releases, media alerts, Q&As, and fact sheets
- Develop narratives around innovation, milestones, and industry POVs
- Ensure consistency of messaging across internal and external communications
- Cultivate relationships within the CPG and wellness space
- Secure speaking opportunities and executive bylines
- Represent the brand at events, trade shows, and networking forums
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in functional beverage, supplements, or natural products
- Existing media relationships in CPG and beverage trade press
- Exposure to crisis communications and reputation management
- Familiarity with digital PR and social media integration
- Experience working in emerging or high-growth environments
- Preference for this position to be based in NYC or LA
